WIC Program Aide Norfolk   --- Posted: 01/12/2015

The WIC Aide is responsible for aiding in the operation of the WIC Program. Responsible for helping participants fill out necessary forms for program assistance. Assess household gross income and number in household; explain proper use of WIC checks and ID Folders to participants and any other needed correspondence in a professional manner. Refer clients as needed or requested. Maintain quality control of daily office tasks and supply inventory. Complete files and corrections in a timely manner. Maintain confidentiality of all participant information. See below for a complete job description.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent
Bilingual skills a plus but not required
Bilingual staff will have the ability to translate for non-English speaking or reading families who are applying for services.

Other: The wage is $10.30 per hour
Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance
Paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, EAP and 401K Retirement
40 hours per week, M-F

Head Start Teacher for South Sioux City   --- Posted: 01/09/2015

The Teacher is responsible for understanding, planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for pre-school age children. Develop weekly lesson plans and send to supervisor. Maintain updated and on-going assessments for each child. Oversee and guide all individuals participating in the classroom. Maintain and keep education notebook updated. Plan and implement individualized activities for each child according to their FCF/IEP/IFSP/MDT.

Qualifications: Teacher must have one of the following:
• An associate, baccalaureate or advance degree in early childhood education.
• An associate, baccalaureate, or advance degree in a field related to early childhood education with experience in teaching preschool children.

Substitute Aide South Sioux City/Dakota City Area   --- Posted: 01/09/2015

The Substitute Aide assists the Teacher in planning and carrying out the educational activities of the center. Record observations of children. May be required to facilitate a small group of children in education activities. Eat breakfast, lunch and/or snack with the children to encourage good eating habits and positive mealtime experiences. May be required to assist with nutrition responsibilities. Carry out cleaning duties as required by the center. Adhere to Head start Performance Standards, Written Plan, Nebraska Licensure of Child Care Centers, Education Training Manual, Parent Handbook, NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct, Rule 11, CACFP and NENCAP Personnel Policies. Maintain confidentiality for children, families, program and agency. Possess basic computer skills. Frequently kneeling, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. Bilingual staff must be able to appropriately translate and interpret verbal and written communication.

Qualifications: EDUCATION: High school Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Other: Wage for Aide positions is $8.10 to $9.27 per hour depending on bilingual skills.
