Head Start Assistant Director   --- Posted: 10/30/2014

Assist the Head Start Director with program planning, implementation and reporting. Supervise Area Managers, including on-going documentation of job performance. Ensure follow-up occurs with Area Managers monitoring program compliance through monthly reports/checklists. Prepare and conduct performance evaluations for relevant staff. Verify and process designated staff’s timesheets, activity logs and approved leave requests. Coordinate purchasing and inventory for the program. Track DHHS licensing paperwork for staff and facilities. Maintain confidentiality for children, families, program and Agency. Adhere to Head Start Performance Standards, Written Plan, regulations governing Licensure of Child Care Centers, Education & Family Service Training Manuals, Parent Handbook, NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct, Rule 11, NENCAP Personnel Policies and Procurement procedures.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree required. Bachelors’ degree preferred.
1 or more years of experience in school administration, business administration, supervision, human services or human resources.

Other: This is a salaried position
Wage based on $19.00 per hour/40 hours per week

This position aids in the operation of the WIC and Immunization Programs. Travel to assigned clinics with co-workers and assist with loading and unloading supplies. Aid participant in fill out the necessary forms for program assistance. Assess household gross income and number in household, explain proper use of WIC checks and ID folders. Review files that need to be completed and correct in timely manner. Responsible for setting up computer system and screening of immunization clients which includes entering data into the immunization database. Do client referrals as needed or requested. Submit reports and summaries as requested. Maintain confidentiality of all participant information.

Qualifications: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Six months to one year related experience

Other: Hourly wage is $10.30 per hour
Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance
Paid holidays, vacation and sick leave

The WIC/Health Services Program Clerical Aide assists in the day to day operation of the WIC and Health Services Programs. Field client phone calls and assist or refer clients as necessary. Assist clients with scheduling appointments. Maintain the clinic appointment schedule. Responsible for screening of immunization clients which includes entering data into the Immunization database and update as necessary. Aid participant in filling out the necessary forms for program assistance. Assess household gross income and number in household, explain proper use of WIC checks and ID folders to participants and any other needed correspondence. Assist client in filling out the Agency Basic Intake form. Enter client information into the Service Point database. Print out WIC Checks as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of all participant information.
