Weatherization Crew Technician   --- Posted: 01/26/2015

The Weatherization Crew Technician is responsible for installation of weatherization materials on homes. This would include weather stripping, caulking, attic and wall insulation, foundation insulation, replacement of broken glass and repair/replacement of furnaces. Clean and prepare weatherization site to eliminate possible hazards. Load, unload and identify building materials and tools for worksite. Some lifting is required – ladders, scaffold, pre-hung doors, windows, up to 80 lbs. Attend training sessions/meetings as required by the program. Maintain confidentiality of participant information. Work hours will vary, generally 40 hours per week. Crew is currently working four 10 hour days, but hours may increase depending on work load.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED
Experience in carpentry, prior building construction experience
Must be able to comply with the agency’s auto insurance standards

Other: Wage is $12.50 per hour. Benefits include health, life, dental and vision insurance. Paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, EAP and 401K Retirement

Substitute Aide South Sioux City/Dakota City Area   --- Posted: 01/09/2015

The Substitute Aide assists the Teacher in planning and carrying out the educational activities of the center. Record observations of children. May be required to facilitate a small group of children in education activities. Eat breakfast, lunch and/or snack with the children to encourage good eating habits and positive mealtime experiences. May be required to assist with nutrition responsibilities. Carry out cleaning duties as required by the center. Adhere to Head start Performance Standards, Written Plan, Nebraska Licensure of Child Care Centers, Education Training Manual, Parent Handbook, NAEYC Code of Ethical Conduct, Rule 11, CACFP and NENCAP Personnel Policies. Maintain confidentiality for children, families, program and agency. Possess basic computer skills. Frequently kneeling, stooping, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds. Bilingual staff must be able to appropriately translate and interpret verbal and written communication.

Qualifications: EDUCATION: High school Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Other: Wage for Aide positions is $8.10 to $9.27 per hour depending on bilingual skills.
